Strong doesn’t have to mean bitter. Here are three simple ways to get more flavor and caffeine out of every cup—without wrecking your tastebuds.
1. Grind Fresh, Grind Right
Pre-ground coffee loses strength fast. Use a burr grinder and adjust your grind for the brewing method. Too fine = bitterness. Too coarse = watery.
2. Use the Right Ratio
Too much water dilutes even the best roast. Start with 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 oz of water and dial it in from there.
3. Pick a Roast That Packs a Punch
Choose roasts like *Hot Rod Canon* or *Motor Oil*—bold, smoky, and built for performance. Or go lighter and stronger with *Distribution 50:50* for more caffeine per ounce.
